Embryo Adoption and Donation Orientation Form

3/20/2026 at 12:00 PM

Thank you for your interest in our orientation!
All prospective adoptive families and donor families - married, single, domestic partners - are welcome to attend our Embryo Adoption Orientation to learn more about our program.
All applicants must meet our basic guidelines to become an approved adoptive family:
  1. Adoptive applicants must live in Alaska (donors may reside anywhere)
  2. Applicants must be 21 years or older
  3. All pending adoptions are finalized
  4. Adoptive applicants need proof of adequate housing and income to support a child
  5. Good health and life expectancy as noted by a physician.
Alaska Adoption Services works with 15 active waiting families at a time so that the wait time in the waiting pool is shorter. This also helps the agency develop personal relationships with our adoptive families and provide on-going support throughout the process.

Waiting Pool
I understand that my attendance to the workshop does not guarantee a spot in the waiting pool and that all applications into the program are received first-come-first-serve. I understand that AAS only allows 15 Waiting Families in the waiting pool at any given time and that I may be put on the wait list if there is no availability at the time my application is submitted.
